Our bodies are indeed designed to give birth. Apart from my loved ones, Doula Jannah has given me many words of encouragement and assured me to have confidence (yaqin) in my maternal instinct and soldier on, especially towards the end of pregnancy, till I passed my 40-week mark.

In the delivery suite, Doula Jannah tirelessly cheered me on and continued supporting my husband and me until eventually, we welcomed our little Abdurrahman.

Just to share my pleasant experience delivering my baby girl. She was born weighing 4.735 kg and 53 cm. It was a natural birth at 42+1 weeks. Only used gas towards the end of labour, small tear only. Was actually scheduled for a C-section that very day but had shown contractions in the morning, so decided to try for natural. A big factor in the successful natural birth was my wonderful doula, Doula Jannah Tayib. Thanks to her for supporting me and providing never-ending encouragement even when I myself have given up hope on a natural birth. So, mummies, it is possible to go beyond due date and to deliver a big baby

​All these "hmmm"s... subsided when I met Jannah. We connected during the last 2 months of my pregnancy. She has been invaluable when it comes to my uncertainties. She's always there to support & reassure my husband and me that I can do it. She made sure that I was equipped with the knowledge to cope with the process, going through the different stages of labour and explaining everything in detail.

On the day of our labour, I was speechless when the nurses told us that I was 8-9 cm dilated upon arriving at the hospital. I did everything according to her guidance, and with her constant support, I was able to achieve an absolutely smooth and fast birth.

Jannah is not only a doula... She is a true friend who cares deeply about you! Thank you for being there for us!

When I got to know Doula Jannah, I knew I wanted to keep her contact for when I get pregnant. The internet is a treasure trove of birth information but nothing beats an in-person class with a doula. Sure enough, for both my pregnancies, I attended Doula Jannah's Birth Classes & Essential Oils for Birth 101. She has a wealth of knowledge about the birthing process for both mummy and baby. The information that she has imparted has helped me a lot in keeping my mind calm and focused during labour. Doula Jannah also shared plenty of positive affirmations that I referred to as I approached my EDD. Also, I enjoyed the food and refreshments provided by Doula Jannah during the birth class - I wasn't expecting it, but it was much appreciated! After having two previous C-sections, I never imagined that a normal delivery could be possible for me. But thanks to Jannah, I was able to experience the birth I had always hoped for. From the very beginning, she provided unwavering support, reassurance, and expert guidance, making me feel empowered and confident in my body’s ability to birth naturally. When my previous doctor had told me “after 2 c sect, the third has to be a csect”, I was very let down and both Janna and Dr Paul Tseng from TMC were God Sent!

Throughout my pregnancy, she was a constant source of knowledge and encouragement, helping me prepare both physically and mentally for a VBA2C. When labor began at home, I wanted to give up many times. She was on WhatsApp throughout the night with me and kept assuring me that I can do this. When we went to hospital the next day and it was 2.5cm, my heart broke and the thought of “is it gonna be another csect?” Kept running through my mind. Her calming presence, hands-on comfort measures, and advocacy made all the difference. She worked seamlessly with my medical team, ensuring that I felt safe and supported every step of the way.

Thanks to her, I was able to achieve a smooth and successful delivery—something I never thought possible. I truly cannot recommend Jannah enough. If you are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated doula, she is the one you want by your side. I will forever be grateful for her role in my birth journey!

VBAC stories are commonly heard, but for a VBA2C to happen, it was truly an experience. Even my anesthesiologist asked “are you sure you’re trying for this? Actually very few doctors support VBA2C, and you’re in good hands so it’s okay!” - not only was Dr Paul a blessing, Jannah by my side was too!

Kak Jannah has been our invaluable doula for all four of our children, supporting us through births in 2014, 2015, 2017, and most recently, 2023.

It's been such a wonderful experience with you as my doula when I was pregnant with Zahra and Idrees!

You are always so encouraging and positive, teaching me to trust my body, and you always provided all the information I needed for me to make my decisions for birth.

In 2017, when my first baby, Zahra, was breech, I remember you came with me to meet Dr Paul for an ECV, but it couldn't be done due to certain circumstances, yet you continued to support me. Then Adam and I waited till 42 weeks for Zahra to turn, but it didn't happen, and in the end we opted for a C-section. You never belittled our decisions. In fact, you helped me come to accept the decision that we made with all the knowledge we had at that point in time. It really helped me out of my postpartum blues

In 2020, when my second child, Idrees, was suspected of IUGR, and doctors at NUH pressured me to have a C-section at 37 weeks, you suggested getting a second opinion with Dr Paul and supported me throughout till I achieved a VBAC with no medications at 41+5 weeks. I could never be more grateful

Now in 2025, I just recently birthed my third child, Sausan, via vaginal birth, without any medications, and Kak Jannah was just a text away to give me moral support again! I've learnt to listen to my body and trust that it is capable of birthing my child, all thanks to the many conversations had with Kak Jannah.

Having your presence and suggestions during my pregnancies was just so reassuring and felt like getting a warm hug on a super cold day.

Kak Jannah, you're truly an asset in the community, and your knowledge and experience are definitely something all expecting mums should learn from!
